Zinc Borate

Introduction

Zinc borate/ is a white crystalline powder. Density 2.8 g/cm³. Melting point 980°C, refractive index 1.58-1.59. Insoluble in water and general organic solvents, soluble in ammonia water to form complex salts, good thermal stability, begins to lose water of crystallization above 300°C, fine particle size with an average particle diameter of 2 μm, no inhalation or contact toxicity, non-irritating to skin and eyes, and non-corrosive. This product is a non-toxic, non-polluting inorganic flame retardant.

 Main application areas

ZB series flame retardants have good flame retardancy for halogenated polymers and are suitable for high-temperature processing. They have good synergistic effects when combined with halogen-containing flame retardants. Applicable to plastics such as polyvinyl chloride, epoxy resin, polyolefin, polycarbonate, polyurethane, unsaturated polyester, and ABS. They are the preferred flame retardants for various engineering plastics, rubber products, coatings, textiles, etc., and are also used in medicine, coating fungicides, antibacterial fungicides, bactericides, etc. The heavy metal elements in the zinc borate produced by our company pass the SGS general standard.

Packaging and storage

This product is usually packed in woven bags lined with PE film (or other materials as per customer requirements), net weight 25 kg per bag. It should be stored in a cool, dry indoor environment, avoiding direct sunlight, rain, and packaging damage.
