Aluminum hydroxide is the most widely used inorganic flame retardant due to its low toxicity, smoke suppression, low corrosion, and lower price compared to halogen and phosphorus systems. With an appropriate formulation, materials can meet various testing requirements. Aluminum hydroxide is mainly used in synthetic rubber, thermosetting resins, and thermoplastics processed at temperatures below 200°C. It is a non-toxic, white to off-white powder with a relative density of 2.42 and a Mohs hardness of 3.0. When heated above 320°C, ATH loses 34.6% of its mass due to water loss. The aluminum hydroxide flame retardant produced by our company is treated with an advanced surface treatment process, achieving an activation rate of 98%, and has good compatibility with rubber, plastics, and other materials, greatly reducing adverse physical and mechanical properties caused by filling.
