Usage method: For reference, we tested with an EPDM pre-mixed compound provided by a customer. The hardness of this pre-mixed compound after direct vulcanization is 56 degrees. When formulated with 80 parts of the pre-mixed compound and 20 parts of HF-1204, the resulting flame-retardant material can achieve V-0 rating at 1.6 mm.<\/p>

For other applications, because the goals of different engineers may vary, the flammable components in the rubber may also differ. Simply copying the above proportion may not achieve the desired flame-retardant effect. Therefore, we recommend conducting small-scale tests and inspections first to determine the appropriate ratio. Generally speaking, the larger the proportion of flammable components, the more flame retardant needs to be added.<\/p>

Flame retardant HF-1204 is a halogen-free and red phosphorus-free flame retardant developed by our company for manufacturers that make flame-retardant EPDM rubber products.
