Their flame retardant mechanism is: when heated, a uniform carbonaceous foam layer is formed on the polymer surface, which provides thermal insulation, oxygen barrier, smoke suppression, and prevents melt dripping. With their unique flame retardant characteristics, phosphorus-nitrogen flame retardants are widely used in polymer materials such as polypropylene, nylon, epoxy resin and other fields.<br \/>\nMain advantages: First, environmental safety is the most prominent advantage of phosphorus-nitrogen flame retardants. As halogen-free flame retardants, they produce low smoke, low toxicity, and no corrosive gases during combustion, complying with international environmental regulations such as RoHS and REACH. Second, high flame retardant efficiency, the synergistic effect of phosphorus and nitrogen significantly enhances the flame retardant effect. New types of phosphorus-nitrogen flame retardants represented by piperazine pyrophosphate (PAPP) have high phosphorus and nitrogen content and excellent flame retardant effect; phosphazene flame retardants integrate acid source, carbon source, and gas source, with good thermal stability and low addition amount.
